Summary
The principal objectives of the Carman Family Foundation are to benefit the natural environment, including actions that benefit humans, by promoting:
- community development (including rural or urban regeneration)
- environmental protection or improvement
- the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
Their primary focus is on:
- advancing environmental protection including preservation, sustainable development, native habitat restoration and conservation of the natural environment including woodlands and re-forestation.
- assisting in community development where this might lead to new employment or skills acquisition or use of products that are beneficial to the environment.
Previous grantees include Re-wilding Britain, RSPB Scotland, Woodland Trust and Trees for Life.
