You can apply for a grant for a wide range of purposes as long as it is not for profit and brings benefits to the residents of East Dunbartonshire. Applications for grants are assessed against the Local Outcome Improvement Plan.

GSK IMPACT Awards
The GSK IMPACT Awards provide funding and training and development for charities doing excellent work to improve people's health and wellbeing. They are funded by GSK and managed in partnership with The King's Fund.
The Sir Halley Stewart Trust
The Trust funds projects that focus on the prevention (rather than the alleviation) of human suffering. They have three priority areas Medical, Social and Religious, with education being a central theme that runs across all three.
Gannochy Trust
The Gannochy Trust provides funding to registered charities, primarily working in Perth and Kinross, but also to inspire and develop young people throughout Scotland.

Aberdeenshire Council - Marr Area Committee Small Grants Scheme
The purpose of this budget is to enable the Committee to respond to local issues and needs. Projects which enhance local service delivery and particularly the appearance and level of maintenance of towns and villages will be given preference.
NHS Lothian Charity - Small Grants
Small Grants are only available to projects that will directly benefit patients of NHS Lothian, whether in hospital wards and departments, or in community health services. Applicants must be employees of NHS Lothian.

Skipton Building Society Charitable Foundation
Supports registered charities based in the UK, particularly in areas near the Society's Principal Office or one of its branches. They support projects which benefit children, young people, and the elderly.

The Hospital Saturday Fund
The fund will consider giving grants towards medical capital projects, medical care or research and in support of medical training. It will also consider grants for running costs.

The W.G. Edwards Charitable Foundation
Trustees are interested in supporting a diverse range of charities which support older people over the age of 65, from large institutions to small community-run organisations. Grants are loosely divided into health and community categories.

Priority is given to charities in Scotland, particularly Ayrshire and Glasgow that assist individuals suffering from a range of illnesses both physical and mental, hospices, museums, refuges and facilities for ex military staff.
